About
Rachel’s down-to-earth nature and love for connection stem from her upbringing in the midwest city of Minneapolis. After a fulfilling career in education and nonprofits, Rachel sought a way to blend her passion for connecting with people and hands-on creativity. This led her to pursue a career in hairdressing, receiving a solid foundation from Aveda Institute Minneapolis.
Rachel was fortunate to apprentice and assist pioneers of Vidal Sassoon haircutting at Tailored Salon in San Francisco, where her love for detail cutting, geometry, and angles was born. She continued honing her barbering and men’s haircutting skills at a high-end barbershop in Seattle. Over the last four years, Rachel successfully ran her own business as an independent stylist, serving the wonderful community of West Seattle. Whether using shears, a straight razor, or clippers, Rachel excels at bringing out her clients’ best features and natural texture—what every good haircut should do.
She is particularly skilled in razor cutting, crafting styles that are effortlessly wearable and easy to maintain, so you can enjoy a look that fits seamlessly into your lifestyle. Rachel believes that a great cut should not only look amazing when you leave the salon but also be easy to style and live in every day.
Committed to ongoing education, Rachel always aims to bring her clients the latest knowledge and advanced techniques. She welcomes all textures and styles.
When you sit in Rachel’s chair, you can expect compassion, good laughs, and meticulous attention to detail. Hair is a collaborative process, and Rachel’s goal is to combine her expertise with your comfort and style to create a thoughtful experience every time.
Rachel is fluent in Spanish. Se habla español.
She is a proud wife, mother, sister, daughter, and friend. Rachel and her husband are parents to a beautiful 25-week-old daughter and her twin angel sister. Having experienced the Neonatal ICU firsthand, Rachel holds a special place in her heart—and her chair—for NICU families.
